Local military support group planning second remembrance walk at PA Military Museum
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — "A Soldier’s Hands," which is a local military support group, will be hosting its second “Walk to Remember our Fallen" event on the grounds of the PA Military Museum in Boalsburg.
The 5K walk will take place on the morning of May 25th, beginning at 8 a.m.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the group, which sends care packages to deployed troops.
It's also a tribute to those who have fallen in battle, and those who are left behind to mourn them.
New York men charged with identity theft in Cambria County
EBENSBURG – Police are investigating a fraud and identity theft case in which the suspect is accused of opening bank accounts at S&T Bank and applying for loans under someone else’s name.
According to a criminal complaint, Jacob Gunther, 40, of New York City, is charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, receiving stolen property, forgery and identity theft.
Police said Gunther entered an S&T Bank branch on Main Street in Gallitzin on March 22 and opened two bank accounts, a checking account with $40 in cash and a savings account with $20 in cash, under the victim's name.

(WJAC) — Somerset County's president judge has ruled that District Attorney Jeff Thomas can no longer conduct his duties as the chief prosecutor of the county in the courthouse, while an out-of-county senior judge agreed to dismiss a protection from abuse order filed by the victim of the sexual assault case against him.
The motions come two days after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Counsel suspended Thomas' law license indefinitely while the legal proceedings against him play out.

Somerset Twp. man dies from injuries in Route 31 crash
Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees says a Somerset Township man passed away over the weekend from injuries sustained in a crash last week along Route 31.
Lees identified the victim as 73-year-old James Will.
Officials say Will was involved in a crash on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 27 along Glades Pike.
Authorities say Will was transported to Conemaugh Hospital where he later died early Saturday morning.
Officials say Will suffered multiple trauma-related injuries and his death was ruled accidental.
